Ingredients
- For Dough: - Maida - 1 1/2 cup ( 200 gm )
- Water - 1/2 cup ( 100 ml )
- Pavizham oils rice bran oil in kerala - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- For Filling : - Onion - 2 nos ( chopped )
- Chicken - 400 gm
- Garlic - 3 cloves ( chopped )
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp ( chopped )
- Green chilly - 3 nos ( chopped )
- Soya sauce - 1 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Take a bowl and add all purpose flour ( maida ), salt, 2 tbsp of Pavizham rice bran oil in kerala, water and mix well to make a soft dough. Cover it with a cloth and keep it aside for 30 minutes.Step 2
For chicken keema or minced chicken, add the chicken pieces into mixer grinder and grind it for 3 minutes. Chicken keema is ready.Step 3
In another bowl add chicken mince, onions, garlic, green chilly, coriander leaves, soya sauce, salt, Pavizham rice bran oil in kerala and mix well.Step 4
By using the dough, make small sized balls. Roll this balls in the shape of chapati. Then take any glass of round corners and press it on the pressed dough to make many small circles.Step 5
Place the stuffing at the center and wet the edges with water. Fold the edges towards the center.Step 6
Heat an appa chembu or a steamer and also brush it slightly with pavizham oils rice bran oil in kerala . Place momos in a steamer and steam for about 10 minutes on medium flame. After 10 minutes, switch off the flame. Open the steamer after 5 minutes.Step 7
Yummy Chicken Momos are ready.
