The steps behind Pavizham sunflower oil extraction.

The low saturated fat and high Vitamin E content makes Pavizham sunflower oil as one of the best vegetable oil options for healthy eating. The oil are used for oil production rather than for common snack seeds.

Warm and cold presses done at Pavizham oils mills extract oil from sunflower seeds with slightly different flavors in the finished product. During a cold press, the shell are removed out. Thus the seeds are broken into smaller pieces and run through steel rollers .

Some times we use piston-like cylinder to squeeze out the oil from the seeds. The oil we get through this squeezing process is usually labeled as "extra-virgin" sunflower oil. But the rest of the extraction process for the sunflower oil is behind in the seeds. Warm presses work much the same as cold presses, but the seeds are heated slightly before passing through the press for extraction.

The heating of seeds are done because it, lowers the viscosity of the oil. so it flows more easily from the seeds while we make a pressure . Warm pressing results more flow of oil . Sun flower oils may differs based on the flavor differs slightly, similar to the difference between roasted or unroasted nuts.
